Civic 

Compared to Heritage Buildings  (such as the Tower of London in 'Other Histories') , the layers of interpretation in the civic buildings of local government are very different. The architecture represents the desire of the council to seem to be forward looking, organised and inclusive at the time of the buildings construction. This form of architectural civic pride has a tendency to date as quickly as the politics of its era.
