Unsent Postcards (The Five Days Project)

In the Spring of 2011 we rented a small cottage near the village of Nutbourne in West Sussex. A month or so later I found a forgotten box of five rolls of discontinued and out of date colour film. I decided to use a roll of this film each day, over five days; no particular theme, just twelve frames for each day of a traditional working week.

Each day, whatever the weather and whether I wanted to or not, I made my twelve photographs. Some were made in the back garden, others further afield, but all in walking distance of the cottage.

As I write this we are the process of moving out of the small cottage near Nutbourne and are looking forward to moving into our new home on the Kent coast. These 15 images are something of the place where we have lived over the wonderful summer of 2011.
